Our groups provide a welcoming and supportive space for people affected by dementia to engage in activities, socialise with others and get support and information.
As a Group Facilitator Volunteer, you’ll provide key support with the administration and running of the group, by coordinating and facilitating activities, welcoming people to the group and keeping records of those attending. You’ll also support with the set-up and tidying away after the group, as well as providing encouragement to people attending to participate in the activities on offer. As well as carrying out the role as part of a team, there may be opportunities to facilitate these group sessions unsupervised, should the need arise.
This role will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Check from either the Disclosure and Barring Service (England & Wales), Disclosure Scotland Check (Scotland) or AccessNI (Northern Ireland). The group takes place between 1.15 - 3.45pm on the first Thursday of the month at the below address:
