The Operations directorate is responsible for ensuring people living with Dementia get the support they need, by delivering our face-to-face and national information and support services, through a network of volunteers and employees.

Our national services ensure Alzheimer’s Society information is fully accessible and effective for people living with Dementia and the general public. Whilst our local services cover the delivery of direct support and Side by Side services, across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Fundraising and Marketing

Every year, thousands of supporters show us how much they care about people living with dementia. Raising vital funds so Alzheimer’s Society can provide essential services to those who need us. The Fundraising and Marketing directorate love to collaborate.

Using our media, marketing, brand, audience insights and content work to increase awareness and understanding of dementia, and the support and information we provide.

The directorate supports our influencing, fundraising and research strategies, as well as raising the profile of Alzheimer’s Society.

We exist to improve the lives of those living with Dementia and through the income we generate, together, we make everything the organisation does possible.

Research and Influencing

The Research and Influencing directorate works across the Three Nations and brings together External Affairs, Research, Evidence and Partnerships and Advocacy and Systems. Funding dementia research and using evidence to influence Government policy and public health in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

At the centre are people with dementia. Both in the research we do and across the entire Charity, our Dementia Voice Team and Research Engagement Team ensure the voice of people living with Dementia is heard and shapes our strategy, the ways we work and our messages.

Finance and Corporate Resources

The Finance and Corporate Resource directorate consists of core functions essential to sustaining Alzheimer’s Society. These include Digital, Data, Property and Facilities, Information Technology, Finance and Compliance and Risk.

Collectively, they underpin the infrastructure and governance that enables colleagues to effectively support people living with dementia. The Technology and Infrastructure and Finance and Compliance teams are led by our Director of Finance and Corporate Resources.
