About The Role

As an Office Support Volunteer, you’ll be part of a friendly, dedicated team providing vital support to people affected by dementia in the local area.

In this role you’ll provide key administrative support such as answering the telephone, inputting data and ordering and printing materials. You’ll support the running of our local groups by providing reminders to people who attend, monitoring attendance and recording feedback on their experience, as well as researching new venues and guest speakers. You’ll also make sure that information held about us by local organisations is up to date, ensuring people affected by dementia are able to reach us in their time of need.

This is a flexible, home-based role, with an expected commitment of 3 hours per week between the business hours Monday- Friday 9am-5pm. Candidates should be based locally within the South Eastern Trust area.

You’ll be great for the role if:

  • You are friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic about supporting people affected by dementia
  • You enjoy being in an office environment and part of a team
  • You are confident using computers and talking to people on the telephone
  • You have experience working or volunteering in an administrative role
  • You are over the age of 18
