We have an incredibly rewarding and meaningful opportunity to join us as a Community Development Coordinator, based in Doncaster. This role plays an instrumental part in tackling health inequalities, working with the support of management to ensure that individuals in global majority communities, have access to vital information about dementia diagnosis and support.
This is a highly outward-facing role, focused on building strong relationships across diverse communities. You will engage and network with people at all levels—including senior healthcare professionals, community leaders, voluntary and community sector organisations, people affected by dementia, their families and carers. Through community-specific workshops, awareness sessions and partnership working, you will help develop a pathway to diagnosis and pre and post diagnostic support. Developing trusting relationships and meeting the communities where they are will help us provide targeted support where it is needed and how it is needed. This role will primarily focus on the central areas of Doncaster and support the development of best practice that can be used across the area once the pilot has been completed.
Applications from people with understanding and experience of working with global majority communities would be welcomed.
