About The Role

Are you organised and do you enjoy administrative tasks? Do you want to be part of a team, providing administration support to staff and volunteers, to enable them to deliver the best possible service to people from all backgrounds and communities affected by dementia? If so, this could be the role for you.  In this role you will provide key day to day administrative support such as sending and receiving emails and using the telephone.

We are looking for Administration Support Volunteers to support our Sussex Dementia Adviser team inputting new referrals onto the computer system at our office at Barclays House, 51 Bishopric, Horsham, RH12 1QJ. This is a flexible role with an expected commitment of up to 7 hours per week across Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. Candidates should ideally have experience of data inputting, and live locally, within a 10-mile radius of the office. Full training will be given.

You’ll be great for the role if:

  • You are organised and able to demonstrate good attention to detail.
  • Have existing, or are keen to develop, administrative skills.
  • Have experience of using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel.
  • Are flexible, willing to learn and can carry out the role independently and as part of a team.
  • You are over the age of 16
